Betty Basista Ronaldson, M.A. is an experienced group exercise instructor at VASA FITNESS and Carol Stream Park District. Betty has presented professional development sessions on the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences at various educational conferences. Betty also serves as a motivational speaker and has been appointed to the Illinois State Educator Preparation and Licensure Board. Betty holds Master's degrees in Administration, Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, and a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature, English Writing, and Secondary Education.

The Carol Stream Park District is recognized as one of the best in the state, winning two national gold medals and being the first in Illinois to receive a LEEDS Silver Certification for the eco-friendly facility, Fountain View Recreation Center. We work responsibly to fulfill our residents’ needs for healthy, accessible, quality recreation activities, parks and facilities. The Park District maintains more than 40 parks and playgrounds of which many link to regional trail systems and nearby county forest preserves. We offer hundreds of sports, camps, dance, gymnastics, fitness, preschool, swimming, theater and senior programs and more each year. The Carol Stream Park District is made up of passionate and experienced people; we love where we work and what we do.
