Rebecca Cantu

Rebecca Cantu is an experienced educator with a strong focus on special education and early childhood teaching. Currently serving as a Kindergarten Teacher and Special Education Teacher/Interventionist at Carolina Charter Academy since August 2020, Rebecca has effectively integrated technology into instruction and collaborated with colleagues and parents to support student growth and meet individualized education plans (IEPs). Previous roles include Special Education Teacher and Kindergarten Teacher at Triangle Math and Science Academy, where Rebecca implemented academic interventions and engaged in data tracking. Additional experience includes special education co-teaching, teaching assistance, and first-grade instruction across various school districts. Rebecca holds a Master of Education in Special Education and Teaching and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, both from National Louis University.
