Elena Ivanova

Elena Ivanova, PhD, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries.

From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Software Engineer at the Institute of Automation and Electrometry.

In 2012, they joined Marquette University, where they held multiple positions. Elena started as a Teaching Assistant from August 2012 to May 2015. Subsequently, they served as a Research Assistant, where they developed an interface between geometry optimization code and electronic structure codes, performed high-level coupled cluster calculations, and developed Python algorithms for analysis. Elena then transitioned to a Senior Research Associate role from May 2017 to May 2018, focusing on applied computational modeling and linear regression, Python scripting for analysis and visualization, and molecular dynamics simulations of proteins.

In 2019, Elena joined CarParts.com as a Data Scientist, working from June to October. Elena later became the Head of Data Science from November 2019 to April 2022, and currently holds the position of VP of Data Science and Advanced Analytics since April 2022.
