Steven Wauters

Steven Wauters is an experienced legal professional currently serving as the Head of Legal, Compliance & Ethics at Carrefour Belgium since February 2021. Prior to this role, Steven held various positions, including Legal Manager and Senior Legal Counsel at Delhaize Group from July 2009 to February 2021, focusing on competition law, trade practices, mergers and acquisitions, and general business law. Earlier experience includes working as a Junior Legal Advisor at NorthgateArinso from October 2006 to July 2009, where responsibilities included drafting, reviewing, and negotiating international outsourcing and IT-related contracts. Steven's educational background includes a Master of Laws in Competition Law from the Brussels School of Competition and a Master after Master in European Law from Ghent University, as well as comprehensive legal studies at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and KU Leuven.
