Everett Lumpkin

Everett Lumpkin is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the HVAC and automotive industries. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Carrier HVAC since June 2010, Lumpkin has designed software for various residential HVAC controls, recently leading a software team of ten in the launch of a new product. Prior to this role, Lumpkin worked at United Technologies from June 2010 to April 2020, focusing on software for HVAC controls. Before that, a brief tenure as a Sr. Software Engineer at Delphi Electronics & Safety involved embedded software design for crash sensing systems. Lumpkin's long career at Delphi also included roles such as Sr. Functional Design Methodology & Automation Engineer and Lead Software Engineer, where expertise in virtual prototypes and embedded programming was developed. Earlier career experiences include technical roles at Shaffstall Corporation, Delta Engineering Corporation, and Caterpillar Inc. Lumpkin holds a BS in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
