Maxwell Umphress

Maxwell Umphress has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Maxwell started their career as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor at the Indianola Veteran's Memorial Aquatics Center in 2015. Maxwell then worked as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor at the YMCA of Greater Des Moines from 2013 to 2017. In 2014, they joined the University of Iowa as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor until 2017.

In 2017, Maxwell worked as a Coordinator/LGI/WSI/CPO at Iowa City Parks & Recreation - Aquatics. Later that year, they also served as Wait Staff at Forbidden Planet Pizza for a short period.

In 2016, Maxwell held the position of Executive Officer at the Federal Reserve Challenge at The University of Iowa, where they served until 2018.

In 2018, Maxwell joined Bank of the West as a Service Banker, and they continued in that role until 2019. Maxwell then moved on to Palmer Group, where they worked as a Loan Servicing Specialist III from 2019 to 2020.

Maxwell joined Wells Fargo in 2020, starting as a Loan Servicing Specialist IV. In this position, they were responsible for various tasks, including ensuring accurate payment applications, determining fee waivers and modified payment logic, and collaborating with a team to ensure compliance. Maxwell was later promoted to the role of Business Execution Administrator at Wells Fargo, a position they held until 2023.

Maxwell's most recent work experience is as a Customer Care Advocate at Carrot Fertility, where they started in 2023.

Maxwell Umphress attended the University of Iowa from 2014 to 2018, where they pursued a field of study in Economics. During their time at the University of Iowa, they also completed a Writing Certificate program and obtained a minor in English. Before attending university, Maxwell received their High School Diploma from Carlisle High School, where they attended from 2010 to 2014.
