Alex Miyamura

Alex Miyamura is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in mobile engineering and team management. Currently serving as the Director of Mobile Engineering at Cars Commerce since December 2022, Alex successfully revitalized underperforming iOS and Android teams, enhancing team culture and achieving a 300% growth while advocating for a Mobile First approach. Previously, as Senior Engineering Manager at Compass, Alex led the US mobile engineering team and developed the company’s mobile strategy. In roles at SoFi and Apple, Alex oversaw critical banking functionalities and managed multiple engineering teams, respectively. As a co-founder of Fresh Mint Labs, Alex contributed to significant revenue growth through mobile app development. Early in the career, analytical skills were honed at CRA International and Resolution Economics, focusing on financial impact assessments. Alex holds a B.S. in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Southern California.
