Bala Subramanian

Bala Subramanian is the current Director at Cars.com. Prior to this, they were the Chief Digital Officer at Best Buy from August 2012 to April 2018. Bala was responsible for all aspects of architecture and technology strategy for the company. Bala lead an organization of highly skilled Enterprise and Product Architects to outline the technology direction for the network including 3G, 4G technologies as well as backoffice systems such as ERP, SAP, CLM, Billing and Customer Care systems. From September 1997 to August 2012, Bala was with T-Mobile where they held the position of Vice President, Enterprise Architecture. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of architecture and technology strategy for the company. Bala lead an organization of highly skilled Enterprise and Product Architects to outline the technology direction for the network including 3G, 4G technologies as well as backoffice systems such as ERP, SAP, CLM, Billing and Customer Care systems. T-Mobile is the 4th largest wireless carrier in the US with approximately 43 million subscribers operating nationwide 4G LTE network.

Bala Subramanian has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business and a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
