Mark Verbeek, CMA, MAFM has a diverse and extensive work experience. Mark has held various roles in different companies, showcasing their expertise in finance, accounting, and information technology.
From 2006 to 2011, Mark worked at Union Pump as an Assistant Cost Analyst, where they collaborated with different teams to estimate costs, create cost tables, and analyze profitability.
Following that, from 2011 to 2015, Mark joined GC America as a Manufacturing Analyst, playing a pivotal role in implementing improvements, managing financial information in SAP, and optimizing the month-end close process.
Afterwards, they took on the position of Senior Cost Accountant at Merisant Company from 2015 to 2017. In this role, Mark focused on accounting for capital projects, fixed assets, and inventory. Mark also ensured compliance with GAAP regulations and internal control standards.
From 2017 to 2021, Mark moved to Carstens, Inc. and held various positions, including Cost Accountant & Inventory Control Specialist and Plant Controller. In these roles, they oversaw cost accounting, implemented absorption costing methods, and enhanced controls in manufacturing, purchasing, and accounting functions. Mark also spearheaded technological solutions and successfully implemented Acumatica as the company's new ERP system.
Currently, Mark serves as the Director of Information Technology at Carstens, where they manage and directs IT resources, researches and implements new technological solutions, and optimizes the Acumatica system to reduce manual work and increase automation.

Mark Verbeek, CMA, MAFM obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from Western Michigan University in 2007. In 2019, they completed their Master's degree in Accounting and Financial Management with a focus on Finance from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University. Mark also holds additional certifications including Certified Management Accountant (CMA) obtained in 2015 and a Leadership Gold Level certification from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) obtained in 2018.
