Timothy Martin

Timothy Martin is an experienced legal professional and educator, currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor at Carthage College since September 2025 and as DCFS Regional Counsel for the State of Illinois. With a robust background in criminal law, Timothy worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Wisconsin, successfully handling numerous serious criminal cases and achieving guilty verdicts at jury trials in various offenses. Prior to that, Timothy served in multiple roles at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where responsibilities included post-conviction work, felony review, litigation of juvenile and child protection cases, and mediation of child support matters. Timothy holds a Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University, a Bachelor of Arts from Carthage College, and is currently pursuing a Masters of Applied Science in Biotechnology and a Public Librarian Certificate.
