Alexandre Carpentier

Alexandre Carpentier has been working in the medical field since 2006. Alexandre is currently the Chief Neurosurgery Department at Pitie Salpetriere Sorbonne University Hospital, a position they have held since 2017. Prior to this, they were a Professor in Neurosurgery and the Founder of the Advanced Surgical Technologies Research Lab at Sorbonne Universit\u00e9. Alexandre also served as the Coordinator of the Sorbonne Brain Machine Interface clinical research group. In 2010, they founded and became a Board director of Carthera.

Alexandre Carpentier has a long and varied educational history. Alexandre began their studies at Lycée Louis-le-Grand from 1986 to 1988. Alexandre then attended Pierre and Marie Curie University from 1988 to 1995, earning a Thèse de Medecine. From 1998 to 1999, they were a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Yale University, specializing in Medicine and Neurosurgery. From 2000 to 2004, they attended Sorbonne Université and earned a Thèse de Sciences in NeuroSciences. Lastly, they attended Mines Paris from 2014 to 2015 and earned a Master in Hospital Management.
