Tova Neufeld

Tova Neufeld has a strong background in the field of biomaterials and biomedical engineering. Tova started their career in 1997 at the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Biotechnology, where they worked as a Project Manager and Senior Research Scientist. During their time there, they focused on the development and execution of micro and nano electrochemical and optical based biochips and biosensors. Tova also collaborated with Tel Aviv University on a project related to water toxicity and cancer cells detection and identification.

In 2006, Tova joined Beta-O2 technologies as the Head of the Biomaterials department. At Beta-O2, they played a key role in the development of an implantable Bio-Artificial pancreas for diabetic type 1 patients. Tova managed a team of four employees and was responsible for the chemistry and biomaterials aspects of the project. Their work included coordinating the R&D team's work plan and Gantt scheduling.
