Johanna Pikkarainen

Johanna Pikkarainen is an experienced professional in the field of manufacturing and production management, currently serving as the Head of Manufacturing at SYNLAB Suomi since August 2023, focusing on operational management and development of central laboratory productions. Prior to this role, Johanna held various positions at Thermo Fisher Scientific for nearly a decade, including Production Manager and Manager of Manufacturing Engineering, where responsibilities encompassed managing teams in clinical analyzer manufacturing and leading operations during a business unit discontinuation project. Earlier career highlights include roles at Kemira, Oxford Instruments, VTT, and the Geological Survey of Finland, where Johanna gained extensive expertise in analytical chemistry and quality control processes across a range of industries. Academically, Johanna holds a Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Helsinki, along with education in Laboratory Sciences from Helsinki Polytechnic.
