Rodney Ellis

Rodney Ellis is an experienced data science leader currently serving as the Director of Data Science at Carvana since August 2022, following the acquisition of KAR Global where Rodney held the same title from November 2016 to July 2022. At Carvana, Rodney focuses on managing a team of data scientists and engineers to enhance product discovery in the wholesale automotive remarketing space. Prior to these roles, Rodney spent over seven years at Toyota Financial Services, initially as a Senior Econometrician and later as a Risk Manager for Consumer Credit Forecasting, where Rodney led the development of forecasting models and collaborated with financial planning teams. Rodney also has experience as an Advisor at TwoNil, Director of Research at PredictWallStreet, Senior Statistician at the Department of Defense, and a Research Specialist at the University of Queensland, where Rodney earned a Ph.D. in Statistics.
