Dr. Jeffrey Sheen

Dr. Jeffrey Sheen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Dr. Jeffrey is currently serving as the Senior Innovation Manager at CAS, where they focus on identifying and validating novel applications for scientific information and diversifying revenue streams. Prior to this role, Dr. Sheen worked at Grange Insurance, where they held multiple positions, including Innovation Consultant, Senior Architect of Innovation and Strategy, and Supervisor of Enterprise Architecture Services. In these roles, they were responsible for developing and managing internal processes, evaluating relationships with startups, and leading the decision-making process on investments for internal innovations. Before Grange Insurance, Dr. Sheen worked as a Freelance Writer for Biztech/Fedtech/Edtech Magazines at CDW, where they reviewed business IT products. Dr. Jeffrey also served as a Senior Corporate Network Engineer at Software Architects, where they managed enterprise-wide systems and implemented initiatives to lower total cost of ownership. Additionally, Dr. Sheen worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Wayne State University. Dr. Jeffrey began their career at Sears, where they gained valuable organizational and woodworking skills in a visual merchandising role.

Dr. Jeffrey Sheen earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Wayne State University, where they attended from 1988 to 1992. Dr. Jeffrey continued their studies at the same university and received a PhD in Physics, completing their doctoral program from 1992 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, Dr. Sheen obtained a certification in Mastering Design Thinking from Emeritus in December 2022.
