Heather Jenkins, M.A., CFRE, currently serves as the Director of Development at Casa de Amparo since May 2019, where responsibilities include overseeing fundraising operations, grant writing, special events, volunteer engagement, marketing and public relations, corporate partnerships, and in-kind donations. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Donor Relations at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society from March 2017 to May 2019, Manager of Major Gifts at JDRF International from March 2015 to December 2016, and Development Manager at Casa de Amparo from September 2013 to March 2015. Earlier roles include Development Associate at Playwrights Project and Office Manager. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Leadership & Management from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management with a Leadership Minor from the same institution.

Established in 1978, Casa de Amparo (Home of Protection) is recognized as a leader in treating and preventing child abuse and neglect in San Diego County and beyond, with locations in Oceanside and San Marcos. The non–profit organization annually serves over 1,000 Casa Kids, from prenatal to 25 years old, as well as 950 families, through integrated trauma-informed programs that promote healing, growth, and healthy relationships.
