Jeffrey Akin

Jeffrey Akin is an experienced investor and advisor currently serving at Essentialist since January 2024. As the founder and managing partner of AKIN Ventures, established in September 2005, Akin focuses on direct investments and strategic partnerships within the Health, Well-Being, and Lifestyle sectors, engaging with startups and growth companies, as well as non-profit organizations. Akin also holds notable positions such as chairman of the board for the Health Information Project, senior advisor for the David Lynch Foundation, and various advisory and investment roles for Casa Del Sol Tequila, Quantum Energy Squares, and Storelli. Previous experience includes roles in international media sales management at ESPN and MTV Networks. Akin's educational background includes an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA in International Relations from the University of Colorado Boulder, complemented by an executive program from Singularity University.
