Óscar Carrasco

RAN Engineering Director at Casa Systems

Óscar Carrasco has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Óscar started their career in 2000 as a Researcher at the Universitat Politècnica de València, where they specialized in hardware and software development for an automated traffic control system. Óscar then went on to co-found and serve as the CTO of Sistelbanda S.A. from 2008 to 2016. In this role, they were responsible for leading the technical aspects of the company. In 2011, Óscar joined SistelNetworks as the CTO, where they continued to contribute their expertise until 2016. In 2015, they briefly worked as the Technical Coordinator for the SPEED-5G 5GPPP project. Currently, Óscar is a part of Casa Systems, Inc., where they have held two key positions: Wireless Architect since November 2016 and RAN Engineering Director since February 2018.

Óscar Carrasco has a diverse education history. In 1995, they began studying at the Universdad Politècnica de Valencia, where they pursued a degree in Ingeniero superior de Telecomunicación, which they completed in 2000. Following this, they attended the Universidad de Valencia from 1996 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration (B.B.A.). In 2003, Óscar pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a specialization in Finance from the Universidad de Valencia.

Óscar continued their educational journey in 2011 at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), where they pursued a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, which they completed in 2012. Lastly, in 2014, they attended the MIT Sloan School of Management to acquire expertise in Entrepreneurship Development through a program specifically designed for this field.
