Rachel Schaeffer is an experienced professional in public health and advocacy, currently serving as the Seattle Policy and Advocacy Manager for Cascade Bicycle Club since September 2021. Prior roles include Program Manager at Feet First, where Rachel managed federally-funded grants, coordinated with transportation agencies, and contributed to strategic planning and advocacy initiatives. Rachel also held the position of Clinical Practice Manager at Neighborcare Health, overseeing a team to enhance healthcare quality for underserved students across Seattle. Earlier experience includes conducting community assessments for Planned Parenthood, outreach for Marion County Health Department, and serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA Program Coordinator with Indy Hunger Network. Rachel holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Washington and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Indiana University Bloomington.

Cascade Bicycle Club, the nation’s largest statewide bicycle organization, is powered by 8,500 members and serves bike riders of all ages and abilities throughout the Puget Sound region and across Washington state. We teach the joys of bicycling, advocate for safe places to ride, and produce world-class rides and events.
