Alex Cimino-Hurt, PE, CEM has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 1998, Alex worked as an Instructor at Fudoshin Dojo - Zanshin Dojo, teaching martial arts until 2011. From 2007 to 2011, Alex was a Teacher at Menaul School, teaching Earth Science, Physical Science, and Spanish. In 2012, Alex co-founded and partnered in Case of Bass, a company with a role title of Cofounder and Partner. From 2012 to 2014, Alex worked as the Operations Manager at Energy Efficiency Center at OSU, leading student analyst teams on energy efficiency assessments and managing training activities. In 2014, Alex started working as an Energy Efficiency Engineer at SBW Consulting, performing evaluation work for Northwest utilities. From 2016 to 2022, Alex worked at Puget Sound Energy, starting as an Energy Management Engineer and progressing to Supervisor, Energy Management Engineering. Currently, Alex works at Cascade Energy, Inc. as a Senior Program Engineer I.

Alex Cimino-Hurt, PE, CEM holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Industrial Engineering from Oregon State University, which was obtained from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2007, Alex completed a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Physics/Material Science at James Madison University. Additionally, Alex has obtained professional certifications including a Professional Engineer (PE) certification from Washington State in October 2018 and a Certified Energy Manager certification from the Association of Energy Engineers in December 2016.
