Thy Nguyen

Thy Nguyen began their work experience as a Peer Tutor at Union High School in September 2016. They then worked as a Food Server at Pho Green Papaya from June 2017 to September 2017. Thy also gained experience as a Cashier at Portland State University Financial Aid from September 2017 to January 2018. They then transitioned to a role as a Desktop Support Technician at Portland State University from December 2018 to April 2021, where they provided computer hardware and software support. In June 2020, Thy worked as a Student Front End Developer at Jama Software. From November 2019, they completed a Web Developer Internship at Apheleia Inc, where they utilized various languages to build websites for a startup technology company. Currently, Thy is working as a Software Engineer at Cascade Energy, Inc starting in August 2021.

Thy Nguyen attended Portland State University from 2017 to 2021, where they pursued a degree in Computer Science with a specialization in web development. They also attended Portland Community College from 2017 to 2018, earning an Associate of Science degree in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Thy earned certifications in Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design from Google in October 2021 and Figma - UI/UX Design Essential Training from Udemy in August 2021.
