Alyson Roberts began their professional career in 2009 as an Assistant Program Coordinator at the University of Colorado Boulder. In this role, they coordinated events associated with the "50 for Colorado" leadership program and planned and executed the annual fundraiser for the program. Alyson then moved to Murchison Drilling Schools, Inc., where they served as an Assistant Training Administrator and Simulator Instructor from 2009 to 2011. During this time, they administered the International Well Control Forum certification, revised educational manuals and materials, and trained domestic and international students in proper well control procedures. In 2011, they joined Montana State University as a Study Abroad Advisor and Outreach Coordinator and an Administrative Associate. In their roles, they coordinated 8 College Consortium for International Studies programs, advised students on the Montana University System Board of Regents Residency policy, and processed registration tasks. Finally, in 2017, they became the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cascadin, a company that helps individuals and small teams do less, better by making it easy to organize, track, and document work.

Alyson Roberts obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Theirtory and Religion from Colorado College in 2008. Alyson then went on to earn their Master's Degree in Public Administration from Montana State University-Bozeman in 2016. In 2018, they obtained a Front-End Web Developer certification from Lynda.com.
