Kerry Miller is the current Director of People & Culture at Caserta. In this role, Kerry is responsible for developing and aligning HR programs with business objectives, serving as a strategic partner of the leadership team while supporting employees in their day-to-day HR needs. Kerry has been with Caserta for 1 year 8 months.
Some of the key HR initiatives that Kerry has driven since being at Caserta include retention strategies, process improvements, performance reviews, organizational structuring, competitive analysis, and rewards/recognition. In addition, Kerry successfully implemented a peer recognition program called “HeyTaco” as a way for employees to celebrate wins, show appreciation for one another and help remote teams stay connected. Kerry has also been responsible for rolling out the company’s first performance review process and implementing an HR management software solution called BambooHR to improve HR and employee efficiency as the company continues to scale.
In terms of onboarding new hires, Kerry manages the process from start to finish and conducts new hire orientations. Kerry also interfaces with employees regularly in 1:1 meetings and has enhanced the onboarding experience by implementing a welcome box with Caserta “swag” that's given to new hires prior to their start date. As an employee champion and change agent, Kerry is always looking for ways to develop valuable processes and programs for the benefit of employees. This was exemplified when Kerry successfully implemented a gender-neutral Parental Leave policy.
When employee relations issues arise, Kerry investigates and resolves them by providing effective conflict resolution and coaching. Kerry is also continually working to improve the company culture, boost morale and strengthen employee engagement. In order to ensure that the company remains competitive in the marketplace with all benefit offerings, Kerry partners closely with the Head of Talent Acquisition. As part of this role, Kerry successfully updates the handbook to ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws.
Finally, Kerry is responsible for developing and delivering company-wide announcements. This has included rolling out a milestone anniversary program in which bonuses are given for 5, 10, 15 and 20+ years of service with the company as well as a professional development platform employees can use to improve their skills.
Kerry Miller attended Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
