Dave Bravo-Ruelas has worked in the software engineering field since 2017, when they began their role as Lead Software Engineer at Everyset (formerly Castifi). In 2016, they were a Project Member for the 'EatMe' project at Cal State LA College of ECST, where they created an Android mobile application from start to finish and was responsible for setting up the OAuth allowing access to the Yelp API. Dave was also the Project Lead for the 'Machine Learning for Signal Quality Monitoring sponsored by AT&T' project and the 'IMDB Movie Data Analysis' project, both at Cal State LA College of ECST. In the former, they were responsible for project coordination, sponsor relations, and professional application of software, and in the latter, they were accountable for setting up libraries and dependencies to use scikit-learn in Jupyter IPython Notebook. Additionally, they were a Project Member for the 'ORDR UP' project at Cal State LA College of ECST, where they assisted in the design of a mock-up software project and learned the software development process by creating deliverable requirements documents. Before this, in 2014, they worked as an Electronic Sales Associate at Target, where their duties included overseeing the sales of electronics, the maintenance of the electronics section, and the overseeing of the books and media sections.

Dave Bravo-Ruelas obtained a Work Readiness Certificate from the Los Angeles Unified School District in March 2012. Dave then attended the Cal State LA College of ECST from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science.
