John Spohn

John Spohn, CPIP has a diverse and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. John is currently the Founder of Agile GxP Technologies LLC, where they focus on enabling process changes and capacity expansions for cGMP facilities. Prior to this, they worked as the Principal Engineer at Castle Hill Technologies, Inc., specializing in unit operations and the automation of biopharmaceutical, solid dosage, fill/finish, and critical utilities.

John also served as the Past President of the ISPE Boston Area Chapter, where they chaired various committees and contributed to the growth of the Joel Goldenberg Scholarship Program. Before that, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at Hargrove Engineers + Constructors, where they developed effective projects and provided design expertise for the Boston biopharmaceutical community.

Furthermore, John held various roles at Castle Hill Technologies, Inc., including Manager Northeast Operations and Manager Puerto Rico Operations. In these roles, they led retrofit projects, managed equipment automation, and directed process equipment and batch automation upgrades.

Earlier in their career, John worked as a Process Engineer at Huestis Machine Corporation and as an Equipment Process and Automation Engineer at an undisclosed company. John also served as a Project Engineer at Huestis Machine Corporation and as a Principal Engineer at KEEP Corporation.

John Spohn, CPIP, earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute between 1977 and 1981. John also obtained the certification of Certified Pharmaceutical Industry Professional from the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering in March 2011.
