Evangelos Karagiannis

Evangelos Karagiannis is an experienced information security professional currently serving as an Information Security Analyst at Castle Trust Bank since April 2020. Prior experience includes roles at Bournemouth University as an Associate Researcher on the ECHO project, where Evangelos contributed to improving cyber defense in the European Union, and as an Information Security Administrator, supporting the governance of IT policies and risk management. Additional roles at Bournemouth included Researcher and Technician for the Edu-Web project, Demonstrator for the Computer Security Lab, and Research Assistant for the Center of Digital Innovation. Prior to academia, Evangelos worked as a System Support Engineer at SingularLogic, an IT Technician as a self-employed contractor, and a Private in the Greek Army, focusing on IT system security. Evangelos holds a Master’s Degree in Digital Systems Security and a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology & Telecommunication from the University of Piraeus.
