Staff Accountant

Catalano, Caboor & Co. is a well-established Certified Public Accounting and business consulting firm located in Lombard. Since 1987, the Firm has provided a wide range of accounting services including, tax planning and preparation, audit, and business and management consulting services to businesses and individuals nationwide.  We have modern software and processes along with highly motivated accounting professionals and experienced support staff. Ideal candidate will have some public accounting and tax experience.

We are seeking a motivated staff accountant to join our team in Lombard. Our ideal candidate will have their bachelor in accounting and tax experience. Knowledge of MS Office Suite and being comfortable learning and working in accounting and tax software is essential. 

This is an in person position at our  Lombard, Illinois office location. Hybrid scheduling considered after training period for well qualified candidate. No relocation assistance provided.

Essential Functions 

• Learning and working in various Firm products and software.

• Entering/inputting information accurately.

• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, management, and partners.

• Complete assigned tasks which may vary in responsibility and complexity depending on Firm needs.

• Potential to prepare tax returns depending on skill and ability.

• Completes tax related research and projects as needed.

Skills

• Organized and able to manage multiple priorities and projects.
• Computer literate in MS Office Suite - especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to exchange information clearly and concisely and to present ideas, report facts, and other
  information.
• Ability to be flexible and/or re-prioritize based on management needs.
• Ability to work effectively in a professional office environment and possess an executive presence in
  dress, speech, and manner.

Requirements

• Must have bachelor's degree in accounting or comparable experience.

• Must have some tax experience.

This is a full-time positon

Salary range (50,000 -75,000) is comparable to going market rates.
