Kuan-Fu Ding

Chief Science Officer at Catalytic Data Science

Kuan-Fu Ding has held a variety of positions in the science and technology industry since 2008. Kuan-Fu began their career as a Biostatistics Manager at Key Genomics, then moved to HemoShear, LLC. as a Bioinformatics Specialist. In 2013, they became an External Graduate Student at The Scripps Research Institute, where they analyzed cell line data to identify differential patterns in melanoma cell lines and patient data. In 2014, they became a Research Fellow at the J. Craig Venter Institute, where they developed integrative approaches to predict chemotherapeutic response in melanoma patients. In 2016, they joined Intrexon Corporation as a Senior Data Scientist, leading data science and computational biology applications in the Health Therapeutics Division. In 2018, they became Chief Science Officer at Sapiens Data Science, where they led all aspects of the company's science-related research, development, and solutions. In 2019, they took on the role of Chief Science Officer and Interim CTO at Cubismi, and Chief Science Officer at Catalytic Data Science, where they are part of a team of life scientists and software engineers who believe the brightest minds in science should have access to the best tools.

Kuan-Fu Ding obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology from UC San Diego, their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biostatistics from University of Virginia, and their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mathematics Option III: Probability, Statistics, and Data Analysis from The University of Texas at Austin.
