Tim Doane, CISSP, CISA

Tim Doane has a diverse range of work experience in the field of information assurance and consulting. Tim has held various positions with different companies throughout their career.

Tim started their career as a Systems Analyst at Pacific Sierra Research Corporation in 1986. Tim then worked as a Project Manager at TASC, managing projects involving military threat simulations.

In 1991, Tim joined GPS Technologies as a Project Manager, leading cross-functional teams and participating in business development efforts. Tim completed several government consulting projects, including a program for the Navy that developed a centralized repository of threat information.

From 1994 to 1996, Tim worked at Price Waterhouse as a Manager, leading a team focused on architecting total solutions and delivering hardware/software solutions to corporate clients. Tim also managed business development and partner alliances for the reseller function.

In 1996, Tim co-founded Ernst & Young Technologies and served as Vice President, Consulting. Tim successfully built the consulting group, which provided IT infrastructure design and implementation services. Tim also served as Vice President, European Operations, where they expanded market penetration into Europe. In addition, they were responsible for P&L, business development, partner alliances, and solutions delivery.

Tim later moved to Integrated Management Services, Inc. in 2003, where they served as a Business Development Executive/Program Manager. Tim was responsible for all phases of business development and capture management, with a focus on opportunities such as DOI Certification & Accreditation BPA, DHS SPIRIT, and DOJ ITSS III.

From 2004 to 2006, Tim worked as a Security Software Sales Executive at Computer Associates, advising clients in Federal Civilian Agencies on security controls and solutions based on CA eTrust Security technology.

From 2006 to 2009, Tim worked as a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young LLP, advising Public Sector clients on technology and security risk services. Tim'sresponsibilities included business development, service delivery, ERP integrity assessments, security architecture development, vulnerability management, and financial systems controls audits.

In 2010, Tim joined Catapult Consultants as the Director of Information Assurance.

Tim also served as a Board Member at ISACA - National Capital Area Chapter starting in 2007.

Tim Doane, CISSP, CISA, completed their education with a Master of Arts in Managerial Economics from the University of Oklahoma from 1984 to 1986. Prior to this, from 1980 to 1984, they obtained a Bachelor of General Studies in Information Technology from Roosevelt University. In the same year, they also pursued studies in Business Administration and Economics at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, although it is unclear if they completed a degree in these fields.
