Ian Bumgarner

Ian Bumgarner currently serves as a Budget and Management Analyst for Catawba County Government since October 2021. Previously, Ian held similar positions with Forsyth County and Halifax County, enhancing budgeting and management capabilities across local governments. Academic contributions include serving as a Teaching Assistant at NC State University, where Ian assisted in the American Government course and created a technical report for the PhD program. Ian's formative experiences include graduate assistantship at Appalachian State University, where responsibilities involved managing communications and assisting with student recruitment. Ian has also completed internships with the Town of Blowing Rock and the Town of Troy, NC, focusing on public education and event planning, respectively.
