Sander van der Putten

Sander van der Putten has extensive work experience in the field of user experience (UX) design and strategy. Sander currently holds the position of Vice President User Experience at Catawiki, starting in 2019. Prior to that, they worked as the Senior Director User Experience at Catawiki from 2019 to 2023. At Albert Heijn Online, Sander served as the Head of User Experience from 2015 to 2019, leading a team of 10-15 designers and researchers. Sander played a critical role in developing cross-platform user experience strategies, introducing growth hacking and user research techniques, and implementing new channels such as voice assistants. Before that, they worked as a Concept Developer, Lead Product Manager, and Art Director at Albert Heijn and StrawberryFrog Amsterdam, respectively. At Dentsu, they served as an Interactive Lead, primarily working with Canon Europe on interactive productions. Sander also held the position of Creative Team Lead at Clockwork, where they were responsible for concepting and quality assurance of creative development projects. Sander founded Parque Creative, a design and development agency, where they worked on various online projects for global clients. Additionally, Sander gained valuable experience as a Graduate at the Dutch National Research Center in Mathematics and Computer Science (CWI), where they worked on a state-of-the-art freight exchange platform. Early in their career, they worked as a Freelance Designer at Netvlies. Sander's work has been recognized with awards and featured in design books.

Sander van der Putten completed their Master's Degree in Technische Bedrijfskunde (Industrial Engineering and Management Science) from Eindhoven University of Technology from 1999 to 2006. Sander also attended the Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba in 2003. Prior to this, they completed their Gymnasium degree in VWO from Lorentz Casimir Lyceum between 1993 and 1999.
