Venkataramanan Dileep

Venkataramanan Dileep has extensive experience at Caterpillar Inc. since September 2004, currently serving as Director of Global Procurement for Regional & Rotating Components, where strategic leadership is provided for various manufacturing categories. Prior roles include Chief Engineer overseeing global engineering and product validation for gensets, Regional Engineering Manager developing the engineering footprint for Electric Power in India, and Purchasing Manager, managing purchasing strategies and supplier relationships. Early career positions involved project management and engineering at eServ LLC and Butler Technical Group, primarily supporting Caterpillar, as well as a research assistant role at Texas A&M University. Venkataramanan holds an Executive Program in General Management from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
