Semaan Maatouk

Semaan Maatouk, PhD, is an Offshore Geotechnical Project Engineer with experience at Cathie since October 2022. Responsibilities include monitoring and executing geotechnical assignments, foundation calculations, and the interpretation of laboratory results. Maatouk has a strong research background, having completed a PhD focused on centrifuge modeling of offshore wind turbine monopiles at CG lab - Gustave Eiffel University from October 2019 to September 2022. Previous experience includes internships at IFSTTAR, exploring helical piles as floating wind turbine anchors, and training with engineering offices. Maatouk holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from Université Gustave Eiffel, an M2 in Geomechanics from Université Grenoble Alpes, and a Master's in Civil Engineering from Lebanese University.
