Janet MacDougall

VP, Family & Youth Services at Catholic Charitable Bureau Of The Archdiocese Of Boston Inc

With over 25 years of experience in the field of early education and care, Janet oversees childcare and out of school programs, the Teen Center, Sunset Point Camp, and parent, family, and senior services including the healthy families program, companions to the aging, elder outreach, and post-adoption services.

Early in her career she has worked as an infant, toddler, and preschool teacher and as an adjunct professor for local community colleges. At Catholic Charities, Janet has worked on partnerships such as Harvard University’s Innovation Studios, Mind in the Making, and the Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations of Early Learning with Wheelock College. She has also worked to improve child programming and lead programs through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), maintaining accreditation for over 15 years for all five of Catholic Charities Boston’s center-based child care programs.

Janet holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from Salem State University.
