Cristina Ray-Durnell has extensive experience in education and dance instruction. Currently serving as a Spanish Teacher for 7th and 8th grades at St. Charles Borromeo School within the Catholic Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend since August 2022, Cristina also holds a long-term role as a Dance Instructor at Starz Dance Academy since September 2012 and as a Certified Zumba Instructor at K.Monique's Studio of Dance since September 2009. Previously, Cristina worked as a Substitute Teacher for the Catholic Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend and operated as the Owner/General Manager of el Azteca from September 2007 to November 2021, overseeing hiring and training. Cristina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Indiana University Fort Wayne, completed in 2007, and has pursued studies at Saint Mary's College from 1994 to 1996.

The Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend is a Roman Catholic diocese in north central and northeastern Indiana. The Most Reverend Kevin C. Rhoades was appointed Bishop of Fort Wayne-South Bend by Pope Benedict XVI on November 14, 2009 and installed on January 13, 2010. The Diocese includes 14 Indiana counties – Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Elkhart, Huntington, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Marshall, Noble, Steuben, St. Joseph, Wabash, Wells, and Whitley.
