Stephen Spagina, CSP, CHST has a diverse work experience in the field of safety and operations. Stephen has held various roles in different companies throughout their career. Stephen started as a Foreman and later became a Safety Supervisor at Donnelly's Remodeling from 2007 to 2012. Stephen then worked as a Safety Specialist in a college internship at The Ruhlin Company in 2012. After that, they joined The Branch Group, Inc. as an Area Safety Representative from 2012 to 2015, working on heavy civil projects and commercial building construction. Stephen then served as an HSE Manager at Allan Myers Inc. from 2015 to 2016, proactively ensuring employee safety and implementing safety measures. Stephen joined Remedial Construction Services, L.P. in 2016 as a Project Safety Manager, overseeing a complex remediation project and a waste-water treatment facility construction. In 2017, they worked as a Project Safety Coordinator at FAM Construction, LLC and was responsible for safety coordination in a billion-dollar venture. Stephen then joined ATCS, P.L.C. in 2018 as a Project Safety Manager, overseeing construction safety at major airports. In 2019, Stephen joined Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. as a Regional Safety, Health & Environmental Manager. In 2020, they took on the role of Vice President of Safety at The Caton Companies, in charge of safety for multiple companies under the Caton umbrella. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Safety & Operations at Caton Construction Group since 2020. Stephen Spagina is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and a Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST).

Stephen Spagina, CSP, CHST completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Safety Management from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania between 2007 and 2012. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications including Certified Safety Professional (CSP) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals in 2018, Associate Safety Professional (ASP) in 2017, and Construction Health and Safety Technician from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals in 2017. Stephen also holds certifications in VDOT Intermediate Traffic Control Supervisor from the Virginia Department of Transportation in 2017, OSHA 510 from ASSE Colonial Virginia Chapter in 2017, and Off-Road Forklift Operator Training from EPRO Safety Solutions in 2016, among others.
