Tom Farrand

Tom Farrand has a diverse work experience. Tom is currently the Director of Product at causaLens since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Seldon as the Head of Solutions Engineering from 2020 to 2022, and also held the roles of Solutions Engineering Lead and Solutions Engineer. Before Seldon, Tom was the Lead Instructor - Deep Learning at Le Wagon from 2020 to 2021. Tom also served as an Open Source Contributor at OpenMinded from 2019 to 2021, contributing to privacy-preserving machine learning techniques. Earlier in their career, Tom worked at IBM as a Deep Learning Engineer from 2018 to 2020, and as a Technology Consultant from 2017 to 2018. Tom also had internships at Synthomer plc. as a Process Engineering Intern, Lundin Petroleum as a Summer Intern, and SBM Offshore as a Summer Intern, where they gained experience in process engineering, budget preparation, risk profiling, fabrication of floating production storage and offloading vessels, and more.

Tom Farrand obtained a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Bath between 2013 and 2017. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at The Alice Smith School from 2008 to 2013. In addition, they have also obtained certifications in "Foundations of Causality" from causaLens and "Data Science Foundations Level 2" from Acclaim.
