Marcel Karnstedt Hulpuş

Marcel Karnstedt Hulpuş has extensive experience in various data and technology roles. Marcel is currently working as the Head of Data and Semantic Technologies at Causaly, where they lead a team responsible for designing and building scalable data backends. Marcel has also worked at Springer Nature, where they started as a Senior Data Architect and eventually became the Director of Data & Knowledge Technologies. Marcel was responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of the data solutions at Springer Nature. Prior to that, Marcel worked as a Research Scientist at Bell Labs Ireland, focusing on large-scale data management and processing. Marcel also held research positions at INSIGHT @ NUI Galway and Digital Enterprise Research Institute (DERI), where they worked on various EU-funded projects and led analytics and information units. Marcel began their career as a Research Associate at TU Ilmenau, where they completed their PhD with honors. Overall, Marcel has a strong background in data management, analytics, and technology leadership.

Marcel Karnstedt Hulpuş obtained a Diploma in Computer Science from The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg. Marcel attended the university from 1997 to 2003.
