Paddy Connaughton

Paddy Connaughton is the current Director of Services, Transportation, Environment & Water Services at Cavan County Council. Paddy has been in their current role since September 2000, when they moved from Leitrim County Council, where they had been working as an Executive Engineer since June 1996. Prior to that, Paddy worked for Gerry McCloskey Ireland as a Site Agent from January 1988 to December 1991.

Paddy Connaughton has a Master of Arts from the Institute of Public Administration, a Diploma in Arbitration from University College Dublin, and a Masters in Local Government from the Institute of Public Administration. Paddy also has a B.E. from the University of Galway and is a certified engineer from Engineers Ireland.

Paddy Connaughton reports to Tommy Ryan, Chief Executive. They work with Brendan Jennings - Director of Services, Planning, Community & Economic Development, Eoin Doyle - Director of Services, Housing, Libraries & Cultural Services, Human Resources & Corporate Services, and Margaret McNally - Head of Finance, ICT & Emergency Services.
