Norman Ragg

Norman Ragg has extensive work experience in the aquaculture industry. Norman is currently the Shellfish Aquaculture Platform Leader at Cawthron Institute, a position they have held since November 2022. Prior to this role, they were the Team Leader for Shellfish Aquaculture at the same organization, starting in July 2022. Norman has been with Cawthron Institute since 2006, initially working as an Aquaculture biologist - physiologist.

Additionally, Norman was a Partner at Serendipity Equine from 2006 to 2012. Before that, they were the Stock Manager at Pendarves Abalone Farm from 1999 to 2001.

Norman Ragg completed their MSc degree in Shellfisheries, Aquaculture, and Biology at the University of Wales from 1992 to 1994. Norman later pursued a PhD in Physiology at the University of Canterbury, which they successfully obtained from 1998 to 2003.
