Hannah Duncan

Hannah Marai is a legal professional currently serving as Principal Policy Officer at Brisbane Supreme & District Courts since January 2024, and concurrently holds the position of Lawyer at Caxton Legal Centre since May 2022. Previous experience includes roles as a Junior Lawyer (Graduate) at Queensland Human Rights Commission from January 2021 to September 2022, Associate to a Supreme Court Judge at Brisbane Supreme & District Courts from January 2020 to January 2021, and Graduate at the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet from January 2018 to July 2019. Hannah also worked as a Solicitor at the National Indigenous Australians Agency in 2019, focusing on land and public law, and served as a Tribunal Officer at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal from July 2017 to January 2018. Leadership experience includes presidency of the Bond Indigenous Awareness Society, emphasizing awareness of Indigenous culture, and supporting Indigenous youth through a student mentoring role at AIME from 2014 to 2016. Education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies from Bond University and a high school diploma from Darling Downs Christian School.
