Jessica Tomar

Jessica Tomar has a diverse work history that spans from 2013 to the present. Jessica'smost recent role is as a Cybersecurity Policy Analyst at Cayuse Holdings, where they began in 2022. Prior to this, from 2020 to 2022, Jessica worked as a Senior Policy Analyst at JPI, where they served as the Governance and Compliance team lead for policy compliance-related matters. Before JPI, they were a Senior Consultant at BRMi from 2018 to 2020, focusing on Records Management and Information Security at various government agencies.

In their earlier career, Jessica worked as a Writer and Editor / Policy Analyst at B3 Group, Inc. from 2015 to 2018, where they wrote policy and communication materials for VA IT projects. Jessica also gained experience as a Research Technician at ICF in 2015 and as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Maryland in the same year. Furthermore, Jessica worked as a Legislative Intern at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in 2014 and as a Legal Clerk at Tonneman, Vuotto, Enis & White, LLC from 2013 to 2014.

Jessica Tomar completed their education in a chronological manner. Jessica obtained a Master of International Affairs degree in Comparative and Regional Studies of Europe from American University, which they completed in 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History and Spanish with Honors from the University of Maryland, concluding their studies in 2015. In 2014, Jessica also engaged in a study abroad program at DIS, where they focused on Danish Language and Culture.

Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including Requirements Management and Action Officer from the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) in July 2022 and April 2022 respectively. Jessica also acquired a certification in Intercultural Communication from the University of Maryland in May 2013.
