Natalie Bowdell

Natalie Bowdell has a diverse work experience in the field of assurance, data protection, and internal audit. Natalie is currently working at Cazoo as the Head of Assurance & Data Protection Officer. Prior to that, they held the role of DPO and Head of Internal Audit at Cazoo and also served as the Group Data Protection Officer.

Before joining Cazoo, Natalie served as the Data Protection Officer at The Cooper Companies, where they were responsible for ensuring GDPR compliance and acting as a liaison between EU supervisory authorities and the business. Natalie also worked as an Internal Audit Manager at The Cooper Companies, providing objective analyses and recommendations to management.

Natalie held the position of Data Protection Officer at CooperVision, where they played a crucial role in implementing and recording GDPR requirements. Natalie also worked as the Manager of Financial Accounting and Compliance for EMEA at CooperVision.

Additionally, Natalie has experience in internal controls coordination at ORIGIO and as a Senior Internal Auditor at BDO LLP, where they undertook financial and non-financial audits for a variety of clients. Natalie began their career as a Pensions External Auditor at Ernst and Young.

Natalie Bowdell completed their education in a chronological manner. From 1997 to 2002, they attended Regents Park Girls' School, where they pursued a non-specific field of study. Following this, from 2005 to 2009, Natalie enrolled at BPP Professional Education, focusing on the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) without obtaining a specific degree. In 2021, they commenced their studies at the IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals), where they obtained a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPE/E) degree in 2022. Additionally, Natalie obtained a certification as a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants from ACCA in March 2017.
