Wai Phyo Aung

Wai Phyo Aung has a strong background in the banking and IT industries. Wai Phyo started their career in 2003 as a Bankcards Solution Architect at SinaptIQ, where they identified appropriate software architectures and analyzed risks. Wai Phyo then moved to Chevron in 2005 as an IT Solution Consultant. In this role, they provided IT solutions for the company until 2011. In 2011, Wai Phyo Aung joined CB Bank as the Head of Core Banking. Wai Phyo was responsible for managing and monitoring core systems and business critical applications. In 2016, they were promoted to the role of CTO at CB Bank, which they currently hold.

Wai Phyo Aung completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from London Metropolitan University from 1997 to 2000. Wai Phyo then pursued a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and IT from Yangon Technological University from 2000 to 2003. In addition, they have obtained various certifications from Microsoft, including Microsoft Systems Administrator, Network Infrastructure in 2006, Microsoft Database Administrator in 2005, Microsoft Solution Architect in 2004, and Microsoft Application Developer in 2004.
