Karen Serafin

Karen Serafin has an extensive work experience, primarily in financial planning and analysis. Karen currently works as the Corporate Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at CBC/Radio-Canada since 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at CBC from 2015 to 2023. Karen also served as the Director of Policy and Internal Control at CBC from 2013 to 2015. Earlier in their career, Karen worked as a Senior Manager of Advisory Services at Deloitte Canada from 1998 to 2013.

Karen Serafin obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree with First Class Honours from Queen's University, where they studied Commerce from 1995 to 1998. Karen also holds additional certifications as a Certified Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis Professional (FPCA) from the Association for Financial Professionals and as a Chartered Public Accountant from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada), obtained in 2018 and 2001 respectively.
