Peter Schneider

Peter Schneider is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in business and legal affairs within the media and entertainment industry. Currently serving as the Business & Rights Manager for English Services at CBC/Radio-Canada since February 2023, Peter also shares knowledge as a Sessional Professor at the Schulich School of Business, York University, since September 2016. Previously, Peter held the position of VP, Business and Legal Affairs at Cineflix Media Inc. from September 2008 to February 2023, and worked as the Business Rights & Content Manager at CBC Television from 2006 to 2008. Early career roles include Corporate Lawyer at Gowling WLG and a Summer Law Student position at Nelvana Communications Inc., as well as Manager of Business Affairs at CineNova Productions Inc. Peter holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School, an MBA from the Schulich School of Business, and a BFA from The University of British Columbia, specializing in Creative Writing for the stage and screen.
