Jhonatan Almaraz

Jhonatan Almaraz has over 17 years of work experience in various roles related to network engineering and telecommunications. Jhonatan started their career in 2004 as a Specialist Telemarketing Bilingual Operator at Teleperformance Mexico and later worked as an Engineering Projects and Telephone Networks Analyst at EPRETEL Telecomunicaciones S.A. de C.V. in 2004-2005. Jhonatan then took on the role of Assistant Manager at Vastago Producciones S.A. de C.V. in 2006. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as an Engineering Projects and Telephone Networks Analyst at Kb/Tel Telecomunicaciones S.A. de C.V.

In 2010, Jhonatan joined Teleperformance Mexico again, this time as a Network Engineer I and later became a Specialist Telemarketing Bilingual Operator. Jhonatan continued their career at Cincinnati Bell in 2012, starting as a Tier II Support Technician and then transitioning to the role of Network Engineer I. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a CORE Engineer II, managing and implementing multiple Data Center, CLEC, and VOIP solutions.

In 2017, Jhonatan joined CBTS as a Sr. Mgr Network Engineering, leading a team of Network Engineers responsible for overseeing a multi-city MPLS IPVPN network in the US and Canada. Jhonatan focused on architectural design, implementation, and maximizing resources with budgetary constraints. In 2020, they took on the role of Director Solution Design, where they led and managed a team of over 55 professionals involved in designing and delivering cutting-edge network solutions globally, including NaaS, SD-WAN, SASE, and network security solutions.

Throughout their career, Jhonatan has demonstrated expertise in network engineering, design, implementation, and support, working with vendors such as Cisco, Nokia, Juniper, and F5. Jhonatan has also been involved in technical projects such as the implementation and deployment of F5 Load Balancers in support of Hosted Unified Communications solutions.

Jhonatan Almaraz completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical, Electronic, and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. Jhonatan obtained this degree between 2002 and 2009. Additionally, Jhonatan has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including Boosting Your Team's Productivity, Decision-Making Strategies, Finance for Non-Financial Managers, Making Decisions, Cisco Certified Networking Professional -Enterprise, ITIL Foundation Examination, SIP School Certified Associate SSCA, Alcatel-Lucent Scalable IP Networks (NRS1), Nokia Network Routing Specialist I (NRS I) Certification, Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA Routing and Switching), Cisco Certified Network Professional Routing and Switching (CCNP Routing and Switching), Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Advanced Infrastructure Implementation, Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Core, and Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Design. The years in which these certifications were obtained range from 2012 to 2020.
