Karthik Chillara

Karthik Chillara has a diverse work experience in the field of QA and software testing. Karthik is currently employed at CBTS as a QA Lead. Prior to that, they worked at HanuInnoTech.com as a QA Lead from 2020 to 2021.

Before their role at HanuInnoTech.com, Karthik served as a Senior Quality Engineer at Cigna from 2019 to 2020. In this role, they worked on a Scrum team and was responsible for validating Rest APIs for a data integration project. Karthik also contributed to the development of gherkin steps in visual studio code and their integration with Jenkins for CI and CD. Additionally, they actively participated in various agile meetings such as PI planning, grooming sessions, and daily stand-ups.

From 2018 to 2019, Karthik worked as a Lead IT Analyst at PNC, where they played a key role in the analysis and testing of IT systems.

Prior to that, they held a long-term position at CSRA Inc as a QA Engineer from 2012 to 2018. In this role, they led and coordinated the full QA process lifecycle for various integration, UAT, and regression activities. Karthik was also involved in effort estimation and velocity determination during grooming and planning sessions. Karthik developed a framework using Selenium to automate test scripts and employed the Page Object Model approach.

Karthik started their career at Walmart as a Quality Assurance Tester from 2011 to 2012. Karthik'sresponsibilities included analyzing system specification documents, creating test plans, executing manual test cases, and performing system integration testing on mobile applications. Karthik also utilized HP ALM for test requirements management and test case execution.

Overall, Karthik Chillara has a strong background and expertise in QA and software testing methodologies, with experience in leading teams, building automation frameworks, and validating APIs.

Karthik Chillara holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Virginia International University, which they obtained from 2010 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani Dubai, between 2005 and 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Karthik has obtained various certifications to enhance their professional skills. Karthik obtained the Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification from ISTQB® - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in March 2023. In June 2020, they acquired the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations 2020 Associate certification from Oracle, as well as the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft. Furthermore, in August 2020, they obtained the SCRUM MASTER PROFESSIONAL (SMP) certification from Scrumversity.
