Trevor Wagener

Chief Economist and Director of the Research Center at CCIA

Trevor Wagener has worked in the economic field since 2011. Trevor began their career as an Investment Analyst at DC Energy, a proprietary trading firm, where they were responsible for modeling North American nodal power, global shipping, and global commodity markets and developing trading strategies for futures, forwards, options and swaps in those markets. In 2013, they joined NERA Economic Consulting as an Economist and Engagement Manager, working in the Securities and Finance, Energy, and Environment Practices. Trevor provided expert consulting services in litigation support and advisory consulting matters, and held the roles of Senior Analyst and Analyst. In 2019, they joined the U.S. Department of State as Deputy Chief Economist, where they managed the research and analysis functional team within the Office of the Chief Economist. Trevor currently serves as Director of Research and Economics at the Computer & Communications Industry Association.

Trevor Wagener received their Bachelor of Arts in Ethics, Politics, and Economics from Yale University between 2007 and 2011. Trevor then went on to receive their Master of Science (M.S.) in Applied Economics from The Johns Hopkins University between 2015 and 2017.
