Mr. Assis holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, in 1985, and a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras, in 1986. He also holds a master’s degree in Business Administration, with emphasis in Finance, from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, in 1997. He is an effective member of the Board of Directors (Independent Director) and Coordinator of the Strategy and New Business Committee, in addition to being a member of the Governance and People Committee, since May 2021, and member of the Related Parties Committee, since August 2021, of Itaúsa S.A. Mr. Assis has also been a member of the Boards of Directors of Copagaz Distribuidora de Gás S.A. and Liquigás Distribuidora S.A., since May 2021, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Randon S.A. Implementos e Participações, since April 2022. Since 2022, he has been a Senior Partner Emeritus of McKinsey & Company, where he served as Senior Partner, from 2008 to 2022, in addition to having served as Head and responsible for the B2B Business Practice for Latin America, from 2018 to 2021, as member of the Global Partner Election Committee from External Candidates, from 2017 to 2022, as member of the Global Committee on Risks Associated with Serving Clients, from 2016 to 2022, as the partner responsible for the Brazil Office, from 2011 to 2018, as Head and responsible for Advanced Industries Practice in Latin America, from 2012 to 2017, as member of the global task force responsible for improving the firm’s governance, from 2015 to 2016, as member of the Global Partner Evaluation Committee, from 2009 to 2014, as member of the global task force responsible for reviewing the firm’s values, from 2011 to 2012, as Head and responsible for the Operational Practices in Latin America, from 2010 to 2012, as Partner, from 2002 to 2008, as Associate Partner, from 2000 to 2002, as Project Manager, from 1999 to 2000, and as Associate, from 1997 to 1998. At Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobrás), he held several positions until becoming Head of the Development Division for Deep Water Equipment, from 1985 to 1997. Mr. Assis also holds positions in the following third sector organizations: Generation Brasil, serving as Member of the Advisory Board since 2020, at MASP – Museum of Art of São Paulo, serving as Member of the Board since 2015, and at the Wharton Alumni Club in Brazil, where he has been serving as Member of the Advisory Board since 2016.
